There will be special
points paid at area clubs during October and November.
October is Membership
Appreciation Month, so check with your clubs for when those
games will be offered. Clubs may be offering Pairs Games and/or
Swiss Teams.
Also, be aware that
District 8 STaC is coming up November 2-8. If you still are in need of Silver Points, STaC games are an
excellent opportunity to garner Silver.
Caseyville (Fairview Heights) IL will be hosting a sectional on December 4-6. The tournament will be located at the Steamfitters Hall again. Please contact Ray Sigler (618-224-9606) for information.
The Okawville Sectional will be held at the Original Springs Hotel, 506 N. Hanover, Okawville IL on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday November 1. The site is located off I-64 at exit 42 (just 42 miles east of St Louis). Play commences at 9:30 Saturday morning with KO Teams. In addition, two sessions of Open Pairs will be offered at 1:30 and 7:30. On Sunday Nov. 1, Swiss Teams start at 10 a.m.
Ask for the bridge discount at the Original Springs Hotel (618) 243-5458 and Okawville Super 8 (618) 243-6525. Original Springs Hotel offers full spa services (by appointment), an indoor heated pool and an in-house restaurant. Tournament Chair is Joanne Vollmer joannevo@egyptian.net
